  • interview with parents and applicant, if requested by the school

As the parent of a Calvary Day School (CDS) student, I am committed:

  • to accept CDS teacher and administrative authority.
  • to support the Christian philosophy of education as taught at CDS.
  • to support the policies of CDS as stated in the student handbooks (Lower School/Upper School).
  • to support CDS policies regarding the dress code and discipline.
  • to attend parent meetings and to lend my support to the programs of CDS.
  • to volunteer time and assistance, as able, when requested.
  • to follow God’s line of authority: When differences of opinion exist, I first will go to the person with whom I have a problem. If not resolved, I will then go with the individual to his or her supervisor (Matthew 18:15-17).
  • to pay tuition when it is due.
  • to pay a handling charge of $25.00 if a bank draft check is returned.

This annual fee includes the cost of all instructional materials, insurance during school hours, and supplies used by the office staff and teachers. This fee is due at the time the student is admitted and at re-enrollment each year. If the student has to withdraw due to moving from Chatham County before school starts in the fall, 75% of this fee will be refunded. There is no refund for those students who withdraw and remain in the county.

If entering on or after September 1st, prorated tuition is charged. Tuition is a yearly fee, and can be paid utilizing one of three payment options:

  • Pay in advance by August 1st and receive a 2% discount.
  • Pay ten installments through automated bank drafts beginning in July and ending in April. Withdrawals occur on the 20th day of the month.
  • Pay twelve installments through automated bank drafts beginning in June and ending in May. Withdrawals occur on the 20th day of the month.

The non-refundable technology fee is due at the time of registration. This fee helps to cover the cost of new technology such as Promethean Boards, computers, classroom projectors, software licensing, printers, and maintenance of all networking systems. We are proud to be a 1 to 1 Google for Education school providing tablets and Chromebooks to all students in Pre-K through 12th grade. Students completing two years at Calvary Day School are allowed to keep their school issued Chromebook upon graduation.

Congratulations — you have taken the first step in the admissions process at Calvary Day School. When you are ready to apply, you can either come to the Admissions Office to pick up your admissions packet, or you can download the necessary forms from a computer at your convenience.

If you choose to download the forms, please read the admissions profile packet, print and fill out the application, and then bring the completed application, along with the necessary records, forms, documents, and the application fee, to the Admissions Office. The following are required in the admissions process:

  • admissions application and application fee
  • admissions profile packet
  • copy of child’s birth certificate
  • copy of Georgia Form 3300 (grades K-12 only), Georgia Form 3231, and the Student Health Services Form
  • copy of the past 2 years’ worth of academic records, at a minimum
  • copy of discipline report (if applicable)
  • copy of specialized testing (such as CRCT, ITBS, Terra Nova)
  • copy of court order (if applicable)
  • copy of Calvary Day Athletic Participation Forms for students in grades 5-12 participating in school-sponsored sports

Once the Admissions Office receives the application, application fee, and the appropriate records, forms, and documents, we will schedule an entrance exam. All students, Pre-K through grade 12, are required to take an entrance exam. Once the exam is scored, it typically takes about 5 to 10 business days to review the academic file. If the Admissions Office needs to contact the current school to request grades, the process could take longer.

Thank you for your interest in Calvary Day School. We look forward to calling you a Cavalier!
