Amazing things can happen within a small group. The original disciples of Christ created the first small group, and Calvary Day School values the importance of this type of ministry in the life of a Christian. Approximately 200 Upper School students participate in the small groups on campus. There are many active groups each school year, and students meet with their mentors during lunch or before school. These mentors represent numerous churches in the Savannah community and may be local Youth Pastors, Calvary staff, or parents. Each group has a different purpose for its students, but the focus remains the same- empowering young adults to be steadfast followers of Christ.
For some Calvary students, small group membership is essential for forming lasting relationships with peers and invaluable bonds with Christian mentors. Most importantly, small groups enable students to experience the power of Christ in a personal way.
